Latest News...:
FAMILY: Praise and thank the Lord with us for Julie's improved health and Kristie will soon receive hip replacement/reconstructive surgery. It has been a long journey and we've been through some very tough times. Pray for wisdom in dealing with financial issues arising out of not having medical insurance coverage. Praise and thank the Lord for many blessings so far. TEACHING / PREACHING: Here at Ika we are all well and keep very busy. Dad (Spencer) seems to be getting stronger and is looking pretty good! Bible School has resumed, students arrived yesterday May 6. Pray for them as they study learn and grow in the knowledge of the things of God, towards preaching, teaching, and serving our Nigerian brothers and sisters in the Assemblies, and bringing more souls to the glorious and saving knowledge of God’s Grace. MEDICAL: Hospital building projects are going strong. We thank the Lord for bring Martin our new resident Dr. He's settling in well, he's a great help and such a blessing towards keeping the hospital running smoothly with Lois away in the USA. Rejoice with us for the new road that we've been waiting and praying for, for many years there's still a lot of work to be done but good progress is being made. PRINTING / PUBLICATIONS: Printing and publishing correspondence courses, Bible study aids and hymnbooks in the vernacular languages we work with, has contributed greatly to the growth of the Church here in Nigeria. Years ago we were the only printers that could print these languages, but as technology advances are changing things so we must adjust and seek the best ways to keep our publications in stock for the sake of Christ's growing church. WATER PROJECT: The growing ministry of providing safe drinking water far exceeds our ability in terms of time and resources. The Ika Mission Water Project is our new way to reach out to people in need and take to them the message of God's Great Love at the same time. In the letter below I've tried to express some of our accomplishments and some of our needs. Please join us in prayer, in giving towards equipment needs and getting water into peoples buckets and basins, and maybe even coming over for some hands-on experience. PRAY: Pray that as we press forward we'll be shining lights glowing, displaying, and reflecting God's wondrous love. Help us Lord to be your hands and our feet in this dark and needy wilderness. May the words we speak, and every effort we make, contribute in a positive way towards your Church's growth and success - of bringing more souls to the glorious and saving knowledge of God’s love and grace, saved forever to reign with you in Heaven's glory.Download Newsletter
