V. David & Rachel
We were both brought up in loving, well-grounded, Christ-centered families. Learning about God’s love for us and coming to a knowledge of His truth at a young age, we both accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and want to serve Him with our lives. Since our marriage in 2007, we have been involved in hospitality, evangelism and discipleship in various places and capacities. Following God's initial leading towards full-time service, we spent two months serving practically in the ministry of Pierre Vivantes in Entrepierres, France during the summer of 2012. We followed the Holy Spirit’s prompting and our elder’s advice to take several steps to prepare for overseas ministry. This included furthering our Biblical studies at Lancaster Bible College, becoming more involved in our local church, beginning French studies and continuing to open our home. God revealed that His next steps for us were to serve among international university students through the FEU ministry in Grenoble, France beginning in 2014. We serve on the leadership team by encouraging students in their walk with Jesus Christ, promoting their involvement in a local church, supporting them in ministries they feel God leading them into and fostering discipleship relationships. Practically we also keep the building and grounds clean, maintained and welcoming. We also host a bi-weekly food distribution that serves some of the practical needs of over 100 students from over 40 countries, which is a great outreach to help invite international students to our weekly Bible studies and events. In summer 2019 we will spend 3 months helping out Entrepierres (Association Pierres Vivantes) in the south of France before taking a furlough.
