Skillen, Ryan & Elizabeth

We'd like to introduce ourselves but even more than that to share about the work that we are blessed to be a part of at Immanuel Mission.  Immanuel means "God with us" (Matthew 1:23) and that is our message as we bring the gospel to the Navajo Nation.  We have a God who is near, a God who loved us so much and desired relationship with us that He sent His only son to pay the price for our sin.  Immanuel Mission is 100% faith based and located in the NE corner of Arizona about 35 miles from the four corners.  Immanuel Mission was established in 1924 and so this year we celebrate 100 years of God's faithfulness and work.  He has used many hands to serve over the years and many voices to share the gospel.  We have an 8 acre area here in the Tolikan (Sweetwater) community.  There is a school where we currently teach grades prek- 8th, a chapel where we fellowship with many in the community and break bread each Sunday, a "thrift store" that a staff family here runs for the community to provide help to struggling families as we live 2 hours from town.  The Mission also has many outreaches and opportunities for sharing the gospel through VBS teams that come in the Summer, festivals, school programs, church picnics and just building relationships with our neighbors.  We serve along side brothers and sisters in Christ who are an encouragement and blessing to work with.  The Lord is using several Navajo staff and families here at Immanuel mission also in ways that haven't been a part of the ministry before.  If you would pray over these families as it is a difficult calling to choose to publicly trust God for their salvation and choose to serve Him daily despite rejections, harsh words and actions from others in their lives and even families who follow traditional beliefs and religion.  if you have further questions about Immanuel Mission and the work taking place here please reach out. 

We know the Lord hears the prayers of His saints and so we would like to share a few staffing needs here at the mission if you would pray along with us and reach out if you or someone you know feels led to possibly consider joining the ministry here;

Pray with us for:  a bus driver, a bus mechanic, a maintenance person, elementary school teachers/elementary teachers aids
