Aitken, Gavin & Eleny

Gavin & Margaret served on the first Latin American team of Literature Crusades under the leadership of Kevin Dyer (1963-1964)at which time they labored in Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and Peru. They then returned to Brazil permanently in 1965 with their newborn son, Todd. Aimee was born 8 years later. Margaret passed away in 1993 having suffered a heart attack. Gavin then married a Brazilian widow with four sons. Eleny was and still is a hospital chaplain and together the ministry was developed to such a degree that it now encompasses more than 130 hospitals in the country and extends to 13 other countries around the world. Gavin served on the teaching faculty of Brazil`s Word of Life Biblical Seminary for 15 years. He also served on the faculty of Brazil`s Child Evangelism Leadership Course for nearly 20 years. The last 8 years served at the President of the National Board of Directors. He was also one of the Founding Directors of Brazil`s Back to the Bible Hour. At the present time he works out of the Bosque Assembly which is his home base.
