About Us

Until I was 13, I lived in Indiana. In the sumer of 1974, my parents, Ray and Marian Green, moved my sister, 2 brothers, and I to Asuncion, Paraguay. After living in Asuncion for a year and a half, we moved to a small town north of Asuncion called General Aquino. My parents and my sister and brother-in-law live there to this day. In 1979, my parents, my sister and brother, and I spent a few months in the U. S. and my brother and I stayed on after the family went back to Paraguay. It was during this time, specifically the suumer of 1980, that I became friends with a man from North Dakota named Tim Wagar while working at Storybook Lodge Christian Camp in Minnesota. I returned to Paraguay, but we kept in touch and on Dec. 26, 1981, we were married in my parents' home in General Aquino, Paraguay. After 4 years ministering together in Linton, North Dakota, where Tim taught and coached in the high school, we came to Paraguay as missionaries commended from Tim's home assembly in Valley City, North Dakota. We spent 18 months in General Aquino getting acclimated and then moved to Asuncion with our 2 little girls just in time for the birth of our first little boy. The Lord eventually blessed us with a total of 5 children, 2 daughters and 3 sons. We have lived in Asuncion for the past 30 years, working in local assemblies, ministering through education, sports, music, working with young people and womens' groups, and more recently, encouraging and guiding the leadership of a relatively new but growing assembly and administrating a missionary guest house. On June 2, 2017, Tim was called to live in the presence of his Savior.
