About Us

Tom Clark was born in Peru to missionary parents Bill and Anita Clark.  Carol (Cauthen) grew up in Miami, Florida, and shortly after her family moved to Central Florida, she and Tom met while he was working at Camp Horizon.  In 1985, with one one-year-old son, they were commended to the work in Ica, Peru by Hiawassa Bible Chapel of Orlando, Florida.  In 1990 the Clarks relocated to northern Peru in the Chiclayo area where they worked with over a dozen local churches teaching Scripture to men, women and children; preaching; teaching reading to adults; reaching out to prisoners with dental care and Emmaus courses, etc.

By the end of 2004, Tom and Carol had six children, ages 20, 17, 17, 15, 12, and 8.  After running Bible clubs in a government Children's home for several years, the Lord led them to open Morning Star Children's Home in 2006.  Housing up to 22 children at a time, this has become a main focus of their ministry, along with the local assembly of Pueblo Nuevo that began in 2007.
