Eakins, Daniel & Georgiana

Daniel was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado and grew up attending Fairview Bible Chapel. Georgiana was born in Bacau, Romania and moved to the U.S. at the age of 5 after her parents escaped from under communism. She grew up near San Francisco, California attending Sun Valley Bible Chapel. We met at Emmaus Bible College in the fall of 2002 and began dating shortly thereafter. For a Intercultural Studies class I (Daniel) chose to do a presentation on Romania and immediately fell in love with the country and the people. I remember walking up to Georgi afterwards and saying “I think I want to move to Romania some day.” It was on that day, more than 10 years ago, that we committed to praying about moving to serve the Lord in Romania someday. After graduation we spent 6 years in a band called ‘The Ineloquent’ traveling around the U.S. and other parts of the world sharing encouragement, challenge and the Good News through music. During this time we took two short-term trips to Romania and with each trip our desires to serve the Lord there grew. Finally, after years of prayer we have felt the Lord leading us to step out in faith and move to Romania.
