Joel Hernandez

CMML Board Member Joel Hernandez was raised by missionary parents commended to the Lord’s work in Mexico. He studied at Emmaus Bible College and Dallas Seminary. Together, Joel and his wife, Amy, have been involved in evangelism and discipleship among Hispanics in the U.S., and served as church planting missionaries in Mexico for eight years. Joel and Amy currently live in Dubuque, Iowa, where Joel serves as an elder at Anchor Community Church and, since 2007, as chair of the Intercultural Studies (Missions) Department at Emmaus Bible College.

Along with his service on the board of CMML, Joel is heavily engaged in the International Brethren Conference on Mission (IBCM) Network. His passions include sharing the Gospel, missions, church planting, and music. Joel and Amy have a daughter and two grandchildren.
