Daniel Johnson

Daniel and Anne Johnson were commended in 2012 by Oak Lawn Bible Chapel in Oak Lawn, Illinois, to the work of the Lord in Burundi. After serving the Lord in the capital city Bujumbura for three years, they felt the Lord leading them to move to the other side of the country, to the rural town of Gisuru, to work among the new church plants in Eastern Burundi. After moving, the Lord led them to begin the Gisuru School for the Deaf for the many deaf children in Eastern Burundi who have no opportunity to learn a language and go to school. The school began in October 2018 with 47 students. They are also involved in church planting, Bible teaching, youth camp work, and agriculture. They have 3 young children.
