About Us

I, Mariana, was born and raised in a Christian home in Romania. I was very fascinated with God’s word from an early age and read it over and over again. Although I  made a profession of faith at 16 and got baptized at 18 years old, I had not owned the fact that I was a sinner until later when I was about 27 years old.

I, John, was born and raised in an Orthodox family. I made a profession of faith at 18 and got baptized at 20 years old. The Lord was changing me as I was avidly reading His word while my tears couldn’t stop flowing. He broke all chains and made me new. Mariana and I began talking and later dating. We got married in 1980 and started a family.

Together we've been in the USA with our three children since 1990. After 1994, we started going back to Romania, one to three times a year. We felt that the Lord was using us like He used Joseph, to feed his family back in the homeland he came from. John started a ministry with Peter Saputo, an elder from SVBC in California in 1997. The ministry was based on James 1:27 "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you." In 2003, the Lord also burdened John’s heart for the young people in the Romanian churches. Our daughter and son in law, Georgiana and Daniel, went as missionaries to Romania in 2013, and they continued the work with some of the young people that remained in the churches. In addition to this work, Mariana and Stephanie, our youngest daughter, went every summer to encourage and work with the children with AIDS in Romania.

Our mission is to help wherever the Lord would lead and guide us!

God bless you!
