Praying from New Jersey for the World

The Monthly Missionary Prayer Meeting began back in the 1930's for the purpose of informing the saints of the work of the Lord worldwide through the reading of letters and the giving of reports from CMML missionaries and to provide an opportunity for the saints to pray for and minister to these missionaries.  Before COVID, the meeting convened on the 1st Monday evening of each month (2nd Monday from June through September) at Kenilworth Gospel Chapel in Kenilworth NJ.  A supper was served at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting goes from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Missionaries were encouraged to send updates and prayer requests to Philip Landis at [email protected] for consideration to be read at the meeting.  Missionaries planning to attend the meeting could contact Craig Fritchey ([email protected]) to be considered to give a report during the meeting.

Since COVID, the prayer meeting has moved online and changed formats. Meetings remain on the 1st Monday evening of each month (2nd Monday from June through September) but now are held on Zoom at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of letters, we now host a "Night Out with a Missionary" where a featured missionary shares about their work, and then the attendees spend time in prayer for their work.

We continue our tradition of sending funds to every active missionary listed in the Missionary Prayer Handbook alphabetically. This fund is set up to continue this offering for the Lord's servants.

Email Craig Fritchey ([email protected]) for monthly Zoom credentials.
